III International Dance Competition for Children and Youngsters “Little stars” will be held for the third time from 7 to 12 July in Sofia on the stage of National Music and Ballet Centre.

The competition is organized by “Kalina Bogoeva” association (www.foundationbogoeva.com), it was created by the prima ballerina and prominent ballet authority - Ass. Prof. Kalina Bogoeva. 102 competitors - children and youngsters, will show their dancing skills in the competition. 50 of them are from Bulgaria and 52 from abroad - USA, Greece, Cyprus, Ukraine, Turkey, Romania.

The Participants will compete in four age groups in two sections: classical ballet and contemporary techniques. The first group of "First steps" will be from 28 children from accomplished 8 to accomplished 10 years. The second group "Beginners" will include 19 children from accomplished 10 to accomplished 12 years. “Young hopefuls“ is the third group from accomplished 12 to accomplished 14 years of age. Teenagers from accomplished 14 to accomplished 16 years of age will be include in the four group – “Young talents”.

Chairman of the jury is the respected ballet pedagogue Ass. Prof. Kalina Bogoeva.  Members of the jury in the classic program are: Natalia Rjevskaya - Ukraine, Oleg Danovski - Romania, Mary Hadjimikali -Greece, Acad. Krasimira Koldamova, Darina Bedeva,  Mariana Deneva, Svetlin Ivelinov, prof. Masha Ilieva - Bulgaria, in contemporary program: Boryana Sechanova, Olesya Pantikina, George Elkin - Sweden, Ph.D Teodor Popov, Anna Doneva, Asen Nakov, Teodora Stefanova, Angelina Gavrailova.

The contest starts on July 7, followed by three more competitive days. The awards ceremony and gala concert of winners will be on July 12 at 17:00 pm.
